Definition of Services
At Major Web Solutions (MWS), we provide a complete, all-inclusive web solution to help businesses build and maintain their online presence. Our services include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Graphic Design
We create professional logos, marketing materials, corporate stationery, and manage brand-aligned social media for businesses that value consistency, credibility, and results. -
Web Design:
The process of designing and developing a fully functional website according to the client’s requirements, branding, and provided content. -
Domain Registration:
We handle the registration of your website’s domain name. The first year of domain registration is free, after which the client is required to pay an annual domain renewal fee to keep the domain active. -
Hosting:
Hosting is the service that keeps your website live and accessible on the internet. Hosting includes secure server storage and maintenance of your website files. - Hosting Support (Professional Emails Included):
This includes technical assistance for hosting-related issues and the setup of professional business email accounts under your domain (e.g., yourname@yourbusiness.co.za.) Please note we are not responsible for having to connect your webmail emails to any 3rd party email service providers. - Site Maintenance:
Ongoing technical support and upkeep of your website to ensure that it runs smoothly. This includes regular backups, updates, security checks, and fixing of any bugs or errors that may arise. - Content Updates (Images, Text, and Video):
Updates made to your website’s visible content such as images, written text, or embedded videos.
⚠️ Note: Content updates are not the same as site maintenance. Maintenance covers technical performance and functionality; content updates refer to visual and informational changes requested by the client.
Website Design and Hosting
All services rendered under MWS (Major Web Solutions) require upfront payment. No full payment, no design and hosting magic—simple as that!
Limitation of Liability and Indemnity
We design your website according to your instructions, but when it comes to the legal side, that’s all you. MWS (Major Web Solutions) is not responsible for any potential lawsuits, compliance failures, or general drama related to the content or setup of your site. You indemnify us against any claims—whether it’s about legality, copyrights, or the occasional cat video you shouldn’t have posted.
Copyright and Trademarks
It’s your responsibility to ensure that all images, fonts, and content on your website comply with copyright laws. If you “borrowed” a cool photo off the internet, that’s on you—not us. Make sure you’ve got the proper permissions, licenses, or ownership rights for any content you provide.
Client Delays and Refunds
Deposit Payments
In cases where a deposit is accepted for any service (Deposit is accepted for design & website services where the total is at & above R2000), please note: if full payment isn’t settled within 3 (three) days after completion of design work, we reserve the right to cancel the project (delete / suspend work entirely until payment is made). And just so we’re clear—deposits are non-refundable. So let’s keep the momentum going and get your project across the finish line!
Here’s the deal: Any design service, including website subscription payments (website design/hosting) are non-refundable—no exceptions. Once you make a payment, the clock starts ticking for you to send us all the content we need. Ideally, this happens within 7 days of project commencement. Any delays on your part will result in an extension of deadlines and could see your project put on ice if another project takes priority.
TL;DR: The faster you send us what we need, the faster we deliver.
Delays and Suspension of Work
If a client causes a delay of more than 7 to 14 days after work has already commenced on our side—whether due to failure to provide content, login credentials, approvals, or any other material required to continue—the project will be suspended immediately. This includes both design-related services and ongoing contract work such as social media management.
We reserve the right to terminate the project or service entirely if such delays negatively impact our schedule, resources, or the progress of other client projects.
This clause is especially critical for contract-based services like Social Media Management, where consistency and timeliness are essential. Delays of any kind disrupt content planning, delivery schedules, and overall performance, which in turn affects our brand image and the quality standards we uphold.
For this reason, work will not resume unless the necessary materials are received, and a new timeline and payment are agreed upon. Continued non-compliance or delays may result in permanent cancellation of services without refund, at our discretion.
Post-Design Edits
Once your design work is officially marked as complete, any further changes—whether it’s swapping out text, updating images, or tweaking a video—will come at an extra cost (Rate of R200 per hour). Content edits (text, images, video) are billed based on the amount of work involved (Starting minimum R200). So whether it’s a quick fix or a full content revamp, we’ll quote you accordingly before diving in.
Website Transfers / Migrations
For security and operational reasons, Major Web Solutions (MWS) provides clients with login credentials (such as DirectAdmin or Website back-end access) only after completing 12 consecutive months of active hosting with us.
If a client wishes to migrate their website to another hosting provider before the 12-month hosting period has elapsed, a migration fee will apply. This fee is calculated as the full website design cost minus the total number of months already hosted with MWS.
This policy ensures fairness and covers the initial setup, development, and administrative resources invested in creating and maintaining your website during the first year.
Payment Failure
We get it, things happen. But here’s how we handle payment issues:
Web & Hosting Subscription Clients
If your payment bounces or fails, your website will be suspended faster than a bad reality TV contestant—within 72 hours of non-payment. If the issue isn’t resolved within 10 days, your hosting will be terminated, and your website files will be irretrievable after this time.
Manual Paying Clients
We’ll invoice you manually. Fail to pay within 72 hours of non-payment., and your website goes into time-out. Payment not sorted within 10 days after that? Same deal: termination and irretrievable files.
Cancellation
Cancel your subscription anytime—no hard feelings! But remember, cancellation means hosting (website + emails) is terminated immediately. If you change your mind, you’ve got 5 days to resubscribe before your files vanish into the void.

Downtime
We strive for 99.9% uptime, but even we aren’t perfect. Occasional downtime may happen due to maintenance or third-party hosting provider issues. Patience is a virtue here, folks.

Disclaimer: If you decide to take admin matters into your own hands and accidentally break your website, we’re happy to help—but fixing it will come at a cost. A repair fee will be charged based on the complexity of the issue. So proceed with caution and enjoy the newfound freedom responsibly!
